Summary: Kerosene is used to calibrate fuel pump meters. It is plumbed from a large
plastic tote into a closed loop system and pumped thru fuel discharge meters for
calibration purposes (Photo 4). Kerosene contains naphthalene and to a much smaller
extent, benzene. These are both listed in the NBP as contaminants present in the
environmental media at the Brownfields Property.
Condition:
Summary: Although there are two wells located on the south side of the main
office/truck repair facility (MW #1A & MW #1B), Brian Cooke and I spent some time trying
to locate them but were unsuccessful. Brian indicated that they are still present and are
either covered with gravel or materials stored on the property (Photo 6).
No risk of public exposure was observed at the time of the Site Inspection. The lot where
tractor trailers are kept is fenced (Photo 7) with the building also being locked when
employees are not present.

V. PHOTOGRAPHS

The Site Inspection while performing others in the Greensboro area. Met with Mr. Brian
Cooke during the inspection who provided access to all parts of the property requested.
As discussed previously, we were unable to locate the two monitoring wells located on
the south side of the building (Photo 6). Brian stated that they were both present, but
were covered in gravel, or something was on top of the well vaults at the time of the
inspection.
