Diesel and waste oil storage was observed within the CSX Intermodal Terminal; however,
they are in an equipment maintenance area approximately 0.25 miles east of the former
Union Carbide Brownfield property boundary.
Condition:

The perimeter of the property is chain-link fenced and topped with barbed wire, and
entrance to the property is highly regulated. No risk to the public was observed at the
time of the Site Inspection (Photo 1).

The property is used for temporary container/trailer storage during the loading and off-
loading from tractor trailers to rail cars (Photos 3-5).
As noted in “Storage of Chemicals” section, there were no chemicals observed on the
Brownfield property. Maintenance related chemicals are stored within the CSX
Intermodal Terminal, however; this location is approximately a quarter of a mile from the
eastern brownfield property boundary.
