The purpose of the Site Inspection was to attend an elevator pit VIMS barrier inspection being performed by H&H. The VIMS barrier and its installation appeared to be in good condition around the exterior of the elevator shaft in Building ‘B’. Soil was removed in some locations at the base of the elevator shaft base to confirm that it was tied into the concrete foundation properly. No issues were identified. While on-site, soil contact wall VIMS barriers present on the northeastern portion of the property within Building ‘A’ was also inspected. Soil is currently being backfilled and compacted against some of the outer wall following the installation of the VIMS and moisture barrier. This barrier also looked to be in good condition, although a small area along the base of the barrier required cleaning and additional taping.
