Picture 1: Front view of Dry Clean Spot looking
from the parking lot along 1142 N. Main St. The
Sprint store is located adjacent to the facility on
the right and Blalock Properties LLC Real Estate
Firm is adjacent to the left.
Picture 3: Rear view of Marvel PS-65 petroleum
dry cleaning machine showing the connection with
the separate filtration system. Also pictured, to the
right of the washer, are the two reclaimers with
associated separator water receptacles, and the
mister.
Picture 2: Transfer system: one Marvel Petrol Dry
PS-65 (65-lb capacity) petroleum washer and two
Marvel Petrol Dry PC-55 (55-lb capacity)
reclaimers with refrigerated condensers were
installed in January 2008. Spill containment is
utilized under the machines.
Picture 4: One separator water collection bucket
was located within spill containment behind each
of the two reclaimer units. The collection buckets
were not covered and water was being discharged
into them at the time.

Picture 5: Petroleum filter housing. The filters are
connected to the dry cleaning machine. The
petroleum is apparently piped to the tank under the
washer, through the filters, and then into the drum.
Also pictured are spill cleanup materials stored
under the filters.
Picture 7: One large bottle of picrin was unopened
and sitting in its box. The bottle labeled “solvent”
contained DF2000, which was being used as a
spotting agent. One small bottle labeled picrin
was observed by the spotting table and was nearly
empty. The owner stated that picrin was rarely
used.
Picture 6: Waste from the spotting procedures is
collected in the receptacle at the foot of the pedestal
and is rarely emptied. There was a small amount of
muck and some garbage covering the bottom of the
container. The owner was advised that the
receptacle should periodically be emptied into the
hazardous waste drum.
Picture 8: Vacuum pump is located in the boiler
room. Vacuum pump condensate is collected in
the plastic container on the floor beside the
vacuum and added to the waste water treatment
unit as needed.

Picture 9: The wastewater treatment unit is a
galaxy mister. The owner was advised that the unit
should be in secondary containment and be
covered. The discharge pipe from the mister unit
was routed through the ceiling. Also pictured is an
empty solvent storage drum.
Picture 10: Drums were stored along the wall
adjacent to the dry cleaning machines. The waste
drum contained dry filters. The solvent drum
contained a small amount of solvent and should be
in spill containment.
