Project Information Number: 23018-19-060 Name: Corey Transmission Service (511 West Tremont) Address: 511, 527 W. Tremont Avenue City: Charlotte County: Mecklenburg III. Environmental Current Use of Property: Residential Structures on Property: New Structures Violation: No Vapor Mitigation Systems: Observed Vapor Mitigation Violation: No Use of Surface Water or Groundwater: Not Observed Water Use Violation: No Exposed Soils: Observed Exposed Soils Violation: No Use of Basements: Not Observed Basement Violation: No Summary: Inspected active VIMS fans mounted on the exterior of the townhome units along W. Tremont (Photo 1). Each of the active fans checked during the Site Inspection were operating. Inspected townhome foundations where VIMS barrier had been started on prior Site Inspection (Photo 2), where no issues were observed. In addition, sub-slab monitoring points and the plastic vaults which they are located within were also observed during sub-slab sampling activities (Photos 5-9). Summary: N/A Summary: New construction townhomes in varying stages of completion. Sub-slab and indoor air sampling performed on units bordering W. Tremont which are close to occupancy Summary: Exposed soils are present and are consistent with the EMP and site development activities taking place. Summary: N/A Brownfields Inspection Report: Corey Transmission Service (511 West Tremont), 23018-19-060 06/17/2022 10:10 AM Page 3 of 8 Storage of Chemicals: Not Observed Chemical Violation: No Groundwater Monitoring Wells: Not Observed Monitoring Well Violation: No Current Exposure to Public/Public Risk: Summary: N/A Condition: Summary: N/A No risk to the public was observed during the Site Inspection. PHOTOGRAPHS Photo 1: Low profile Fantech active VIMS fan on rear of townhome. Fan is plumbed into dark brown gutter material being used as a VIMS Riser which exits on top of roof. Signage visible on garage door warning contractors to keep door closed during IA air sampling event. Observed sub-slab soil gas collection into 1.4-liter summa (and duplicate), in addition to a separate sub-slab sampling event in which sorbent tubes were used for mercury sampling (Photos 5-9). Confirmed that 2” dia. PVC monitoring points were properly purged prior to collecting sub-slab air samples which they were, with H&H having a sheet of precalculated purge volumes and lengths of time based on sampling pump flow rate. Observed helium leak checks, etc. Brownfields Inspection Report: Corey Transmission Service (511 West Tremont), 23018-19-060 06/17/2022 10:10 AM Page 5 of 8 Photo 2: VIMS barrier installed over stone and sub-slab piping observed during prior inspection.
