IV. Inspector Comments
V. PHOTOGRAPHS
Photo 1: Soil elevation being cut down to so that sub-slab gravel thickness below and above the
VIMS piping could be increased.
Site inspection performed during break in smoke and coupon testing being performed at
the Powers Site on opposite side of W. Tremont Ave. VIMS installation had begun on
southwestern portion of property. However, insufficient stone thickness was applied
prior to VIMS piping being installed which was identified during prior H&H inspection.
The inadequate stone thickness was being addressed at the time the DEQ Site Inspection
was performed.

Photo 6: VIMS header pipe crossing thickened footers in several locations.
Photo 7: VIMS piping being extended thru slab instead of being core drilled through adjacent
wall for structural reasons. The DEQ Inspector did not see an issue with this modification.
