(Brownfields# 22016-18-060) Date:Monday, August 2, 2021 8:35:00 AM Attachments:image001.jpgimage002.jpgimage003.jpgimage004.jpgimage005.png Hey Greg, Hope you are doing well yourself. After reviewing the technical specifications for the originally approved Raven Vapor Block Plus 20 VIMS barrier and comparing it to the specifications provided on GeoSeal EV20 VIMS barrier provided, the new barrier appears to meet or exceed the original barriers specifications, and DEQ Brownfields is giving its approval for this proposed substitution. Please note that the engineer’s seal/language in the As-built report is certifying that the GeoSeal EV20 VIMS barrier is as last as protective to public health as the originally proposed and approved VIMS barrier. This email approving the proposed barrier substitution will be saved to the Project File. If you have any additional questions or comments, please let either Bill or I know. Thanks, Kevin J. I just wanted to give you a heads up that we plan on using GeoSeal EV20 instead of Raven’s Vapor Block Plus 20 at the above-reference site. See the attached spec sheets. Please provide approval of the barrier change at your earliest convenience. Feel free to call me if you would like to discuss. (Brownfields# 22016-18-060) Greg, I hope you are doing well. Please find attached the DEQ Brownfields approved Compliance Review for the Revised Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Plan – Quality Products Co. Brownfields Property (Brownfields Project No. 22016-18-060), dated August 3, 2020. As noted in the attached Compliance Review, safe occupancy of the building will be evaluated upon “Post-Installation System Effectiveness Testing” as required by Section 5.0 of the VIMS Plan. As is standard procedure, a copy of the Compliance Review and PE sealed Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System Plan will be uploaded to Laserfiche. Please be advised that smoke testing of rolled out liners such as those proposed in this VIMS will soonbe required by DEQ Brownfields. As the checklist has not yet been modified, it is not being required onthis plan. We are letting you know this is coming as a courtesy to prepare for any forthcoming VIMS youmay currently be designing. If you have any questions or comments regarding this review, please contact either myself or Joselyn Harriger. Thanks, Kevin J.
