Summary: Although actual chemical storage was not observed, there were six unmarked 55-gallon drums present on the northwestern portion of the property (Photo 2). They are newer, and it appears that these may be filled with soil/purge water from the newly installed monitoring wells. Condition: Unknown Summary: Two relatively new monitoring wells were observed on the property during the Inspection (Photos 3). There may be additional monitoring wells that were not observed at the time of the inspection. A tenant (Bartlett Industries) is working within a portion of the ground floor of the former mill building. This is a one-person business, and Mike Bartlett fabricates and repairs stock car type racing chassis. There are unsealed holes in the flooring where Swift Creek recently took samples according to Mr. Bartlett (Photo 4). The Site Inspection was performed at the project managers request to determine if renovations at the property had begun or would be shortly. No site renovations have taken place, or equipment staged at the property (Photo 1). Relatively recently, at least two monitoring wells were installed on the property, with cuttings and purge water most likely placed in unmarked 55-gallon drums (Photos 2 and 3). Based on discussions with the building tenant, it appears sub-slab soil gas sampling was also performed, with the holes inside the mill left open to the interior space (Photo 4). Investigated car frame fabrication area and work performed, and only de minimis quantities of cutting oil, WD-40, etc. were observed in the small work area (Photos 6 and 7). Drums are full and are most likely full of soil cuttings and purge water from the installation of at least two new monitoring wells observed at the property. Photo 3: One of two monitoring wells encountered that were installed since the January 25, 2022 Site Inspection. This well is located north of the mill building adjacent to a 1-story brick building. The other well was located on the south side of the mill building.
