Good Afternoon Ms. Beverly,
On behalf of Atrium, S&ME is requesting a variance to the schedule as required by the Notice of Regulatory
Requirements (NORR) (attached) for the completion of the Limited Site Assessment (LSA) Report. The NORR states that
the LSA is to be prepared and submitted within 120 days of discovery of the release. The release was discovered on April
22, 2021 and the Initial Abatement Action Report (IAAR) was submitted to NCDEQ on June 21, 2021. Since the NORR was
issued 139 days after discovery of release, we are requesting that the schedule for the required LSA be amended to 120
days from the issuance of the NORR. We have begun coordinating field activities and are prepared to have the NORR
issued by Thursday January 6, 2022.
