The VIMS fans on the western building are mounted on the roof. Fans for eastern building are located within the attic space. Unable to access fans during the Site Inspection as the building superintendent was on vacation. Took vacuum influence measurements at representative sub-slab monitoring points to confirm system operating as designed (see Inspector Comments and Photos 4-7). The western building is Mixed Use with retail and leasing office/gym/common area and apartments on first floor and apartments only on floors 2-4. The eastern building is strictly apartments (3 floors). Retail space located on southern side facing Central Avenue. Inspection was made to confirm that active VIMS is operating as designed. Although unable to access active rooftop fans on the western building, or the attic fans in the eastern building, vacuum influence measurements were measured at four representative locations within the western building (leasing office, common area, tenant space, and occupied retail space. In addition, two locations within eastern building were measured (both tenant spaces). Vacuums measured during the Site Inspection ranged from 0.104 to 0.207 “WC, well above the minimum vacuum 0.016 “WC or 4 Pascals desired (see photos 4-7).
