The North Carolina Brownfields Program has been contacted by representatives of Pritikin Foods regarding the
company's interest in the former Cooper Bussmann facility in Goldsboro, North Carolina. As you know, the
facility is subject to a Brownfields Agreement which was recorded in 2018.
I have spoken to the Bruce Nicholson, the Brownfields Program Manager, about your company's desire to use
the property for meal preparation and packaging. We feel that the commercial operations proposed by Pritikin
Foods seem well suited for the property under the provisions of the recorded Brownfields Agreement. Should
Pritikin Foods acquire the property, the company would be responsible for following all the requirements of the
recorded Brownfields Agreement and in turn would receive all the benefits which the agreement afforded.
