Carolina [G.S. 130A - 294(a)(3); G.S. 105-122(b); G.S. 105-130.10;
G.S. 105-130.5(b)(6); and G.S. 105-275(8)], this is to certify that:
filed a request for tax certification on resource recovery or recycling facilities and/or equipment on
2/11/2020.
The Division of Waste Management of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality
inspected or verified these resource recovery or recycling facilities and/or equipment on 6/18/2020,
and found that the facilities and/or equipment in Enclosure (1) are being leased to a company that is
using them in a way that meets the requirements of the Standards for Special Tax Treatment of
Recycling and Resource Recovery Equipment and Facilities.

Please Note: The special tax treatment will be in effect for the term of the lease only. It will be the
responsibility of VERITY RECYCLING LLC to re-apply to the Division for special tax treatment before
the expiration date printed below to receive a continuation of this certification. To re-qualify for this
exemption, VERITY RECYCLING LLC must demonstrate that the leased facilities and/or equipment
are still being used exclusively for recycling or resource recovery. If at any time during the term of this
lease the listed facilities and/or equipment cease to be used by the Lessee or for the approved
purpose, this tax certification becomes null and void and MASADA HOLDINGS LLC must notify the
Division and the RUTHERFORD County Tax Supervisor immediately.
