• Secretary of State - no records of Zadie’s Gas & Grocery or Durwood’s Grocery
• Iris Gurganious, listed UST owner, of DURWOOD’S GROCERY– deceased (see attached) Most Recent Property Conveyance: May 17, 1977 (see attached) Current Property Owner: Iris Gurganious c/o Deborah Kolasinski 23622 Highway 421 Willard, NC 28478 Current Property Use: Vacant

• Numerous Monitoring Reports DWM:
• Site Visit: exact date unknown, but drove-by facility about 2 years ago, numerous wells in area as there is no public water available until at least January 2032.

• Most Recent Correspondence: DENR: Approval of TA12963-29 on July 16, 2019. RP/Consultant: Transmittal of electronic copy of October 31, 2019 Natural Attenuation Monitoring Report
Conclusions:
• No viable RP
• Numerous potential receptors-Jones Property well has been impacted, but probably by Incident Number 32171
• Exceedance of benzene and naphthalene in groundwater, see last monitoring report Recommendation:
Please transmit this information to the State Lead Program as actions are recommended regarding remaining contamination present at the site. Please note the adjacent incident, 32171-Durwood’s Grocery Orphan Tank, on the neighboring Jones Property will be sent up shortly.
