Dear Mr. Shaw:
The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is in receipt of
the December 16, 2002 Letter of Intent (LOI) to amended the West Morehead Brownfields Agreement
effective February 2, 2002. This letter was submitted on behalf of Addison Investments, LLC as a
Prospective Developer (PD) seeking a brownfields agreement amendment for the referenced site. After
reviewing the LOI with respect to the requirements of the Brownfields Property Reuse Act of 1997, we
have determined that the following information is necessary before a determination can be made
regarding the project's eligibility for the brownfields program. Upon our receipt of the information, we
will expedite the eligibility determination. Please provide the following information, the numbers refer to
Appendix A: Brownfields Letter of Intent (see attached document):
6. A description of the public benefits that will result in the redevelopment.
9. Signed and notarized affidavit, example document attached.
