Per our discussion about how the Corps will handle abandonment procedures, specifically as it relates to IDW, please
see below. Let me know if you have any questions.
As a side note, we’re still waiting on our grading permit but expect to have that any day now. Once we receive, we will
start grading activities (hopefully in a week or two). Have a good weekend.

As an action item from our call, I just talked with Beth Hartzell (NCDEQ) regarding a closure report for the well
abandonment and the static water disposal. Beth indicated no specific format is required for the closure report. Beth
indicated as long as the report summarizes the well abandonment and IDW disposal activities (as Jeff Schwindaman
discussed), that should be sufficient. Beth also indicated allowing the static water in the wells to infiltrate discharge at
the site during the well abandonment is fine.
