Mary Katherine,
The DEQ has reviewed the indoor air sampling data submitted in the following report: Air Quality Sampling Report,
Former Chemstreams, Inc., Resolve Environmental Services, PLLC, July 6, 2018. Indoor air VOC concentrations, detected
from samples collected during the June 8, 2018 sampling event do not indicate an industrial/commercial exposure risk
above the acceptable thresholds based on the results of calculations using DEQ’s February 2018 Risk Calculator. This
sampling event satisfies requirements for this existing building under Section 15.d of the Brownfields Agreement.
As noted in your email below, a vapor mitigation plan (VMP) will be required for the proposed new building. Due to a
heavy volume of submittals to the Brownfields Program, please allow up to 60 days for review of the VMP. Prospective
developers and property owners are encouraged to submit VMPs well in advance of planned construction activities.
If you have questions about this correspondence or require additional information, please feel free to contact me.

Bill,
I hope that you are doing well. I’m writing in follow up to the correspondence below, by which WOD Ventures, LLC
submitted the results of its most recent indoor air sampling activities at the above‐referenced brownfields site. We are
preparing to begin construction on a new site building, and will be submitting a draft EMP and vapor mitigation proposal
in connection with that effort in the near future. In the meantime, I wanted to confirm that DEQ considers the July 6,
2018 sampling report (reattached here for reference) to satisfy the requirements of Section 15.d. of the brownfields
2
agreement with regard to the existing building. Could you please dust off your file and confirm when you have a
chance?
Thanks,
Mary Katherine
