Thank you for your initial interest in the North Carolina Brownfields Program for the referenced site. Due to the
inactivity of this project since our March 24, 2011 letter to you requesting additional information pertaining to
your continued eligibility for the program, and our growing need to address other sites, the North Carolina
Brownfields Program has changed the status of the referenced brownfield site to “No Further Interest” (NFI).
We are aware of your potential interest in the Ready-for-Reuse Brownfields option. This status change in no way
precludes you from expressing further interest in, and applying for, the Ready-for-Reuse Brownfields option in
the future. Doing so may in fact facilitate redevelopment at the property allowing for the best and highest use of
the property while mitigating environmental risk, and providing for the public benefit of the citizens of Lowell.
If you feel this information is not complete or accurate, please contact us to discuss further. This site remains a
