Dear Mr. Proffitt,

SUMMIT Engineering and Construction Services, Inc. (SUMMIT) is pleased to submit the
results of the ambient air testing at the Fountains of New Bern site (Building #2).

On August 8, 2013, SUMMIT collected four (4) samples at various locations on the lowest
level of Building #2; two (2) samples were collected from the outside ambient air (a
minimum of 30 feet from any building or structure) and one (1) grab sample from the
sampling port of the vent pipe utilizing Tedlar™ 231-01-TCLP bag. The samples were
collected using an EMS Adjustable air Sampling Pump. The flow rate of the pump was set at
1 L/minute.

The samples were submitted for laboratory analysis by EPA Method TO-15.

Conclusions and Recommendations

The results of the air sampling did not detect the constituents above the method
detection limits of the laboratory equipment inside the building or at the exterior of the
building. PCE (175 ug/m3) and TCE (84.1 ug/m3) were detected in the sampling port on
the roof, which indicates the system is removing the solvents from beneath the building.
