Brownfields Project Number: 09011-05-060 Dear Mr. Maschmeyer:
Pursuant to N.C.G.S. §130A-310.39, prospective developers must pay a fee equivalent to the full cost to the
N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources (NCDENR) required to affect changes to the existing
Brownfields Agreement and Notice of Brownfields Property. The U.S. EPA Grant provided to the department for Brownfields Agreement negotiations previously offset these costs.

However, recent reductions in this federal grant requires that these costs be fully borne by the Department. We have, therefore, concluded that for the addendum/modification you have requested the statute requires a fee
from you in the amount of $1,000.00. Please make sure to include a copy of this letter in your transmittal and/or the Project Number above on
the check for identification purposes. Make check payable to “NCDENR - Brownfields” and send to:
