After a thorough evaluation, Dow has determined to cease manufacturing at the Charlotte Operations and
permanently shut down its facility. We plan to conclude production at our Charlotte site by September 30, 2019.
Throughout the next few months, Coating Materials will move production from its manufacturing site in
Charlotte, NC to other Coating Materials sites in North America. Most operations will continue as we are currently
operating, with existing staffing, equipment and processes during this time. After this transition period, the Charlotte site
is projected to begin the decommissioning process.
Dow is committed to working closely with North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality during this
transition to keep you updated and identify any potential changes/impacts to Permit Number 000386. Veronica dos
Santos Teixeira will follow-up with you to answer any questions and begin discussions related to potential changes related
to the permit.
