HomeMy WebLinkAboutSW6231109_Construction Sequence_20240315 Duke Energv Progress (DEP) Barker Lavdown Yard Site Preparation Scope of Work 03/14/2024 Mow the site and install gravel per Approved Erosion Control Plan to include: 1. Duke Energy Progress (DEP)will obtain and pay for the following permits: 1. Cumberland County Special Use Permit 2. Cumberland County Site Plan Permit 3. NCDEQ Erosion and Sediment Control 4. NCDEQ low-density Stormwater Permit 5. NCDOT Driveway Permit 2. No work may start on the site until all the required permits have been obtained. 3. Furnish and install the "Temporary Construction Entrance." Mark the location of the level spreader filter strip in the field and place cones or markers to prevent heavy construction traffic in this area. 4. Install the privacy fence. Disturb only that which is necessary to install the fence posts. Disturbance of any other areas is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The privacy fence must be complete before commencing construction. 5. Clear only the area at and around all "Sediment and Erosion Control Devices" (Silt Fence Outlets, etc.). 6. Install the silt fence and silt fence outlets. Clear/mow only that which is necessary to install the silt fence. 7. Install chain-link security perimeter fence. 8. Mow the site. 9. Install and compact ABC stone on top of the existing grade and ensure positive drainage across the site. 10. Install the edge swales, blind swale, level spreader, and filter strip. 11. Install Permanent Seeding. Install sod at filter strip. 12. "Sediment and Erosion Control Devices" shall be maintained through completion of the project. The contractor shall make any repairs as necessary to the Sediment and Erosion Control Devices" throughout the duration of his contract for the project. The contractor shall keep all sediment on site. 1 13. The contractor shall keep Braxton Road free of soil, stone, and debris from the construction site. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to remove any soil, stone, and debris deposited onto the roadway by sweeping, washing or by other methods. 14. The contractor shall inspect all "Sediment and Erosion Control Devices" at least once weekly. The contractor shall also inspect all the "Sediment and Erosion Control Devices" after each rainfall of 1 inch or more within 24 hours after the rain has stopped. A rain gauge shall be installed at the project site to facilitate rainfall monitoring. In North Carolina, at each inspection of the "Sediment and Erosion Control Devices", the contractor is required to complete the "Stormwater Inspections for General Permit NCGOI OOOO-Land Disturbing Activities form and post it in the permit box located on site. 15. The contractor, in North Carolina, shall conduct self inspections for erosion and sedimentation control and complete the self-inspection report for land disturbing activity form as required by NCGS 113A-54.1 after each phase of the approved erosion and sedimentation control plan is implemented. This form shall be maintained on-site to be available at all times. 2
