I4cLEOD, of Hoke County and State of North Carolina , of the first part and ROM COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, a North Carolina corporation, • of Hoke County, and State of North Carolina. ,of the second part: • WITNESSETH: That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of OTHER GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATIONS AND THE SUM OP TEN AND NO`100 * y DOLLARS, to them paid by said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to; do a one-half undivided interest to said party of the second part and its sand: successors kaand assigns, in a certain tract or parcel of land in Raeford Township, Hoke County, ' State of North Carolina. , adjoining the lands of and others, and bounded as follows, viz: Located in the Town of Raeford and beginning at an iron in the sou..heast margin of Bethel Road, said iron being 30 ft. front the center of the street and said iron being directly over a blind ditch, and said iron being South 3T deg. 45 min. West 920 ft. from the Harris,. now Childress, corner and runs South )48 deg. 20 min. East 1459 ft. to an iron on -the bank of a ditch at the right of way of the Laurinburg and Southern Railroad, said right of we„ being 50 ft. from the center of the R.R. ; thence with the right of way of the R.R: South 4O deg. 45 min. West 800 ft. to a curve in. the R.R.; thence continuing wiilh the right of way South I64 degrees 30 min. West 105 ft. to an iron; thence North Zt'j deg. 00 min. West 1446 ft. t the margin of Bethel Road; thence with Bethel Road `North )40 deg. 30 min. East 595 ft. to a curve in the road; thence continuing wi}h Bethel Road North 3i deg. 45 min. East 300 ft. to the beginning, containing 30.0 acres and being part of that land owned by J. B. Thomas and shown on a map_of tite Edinboro Farm in Map Book 3, Page 42, Hoke County Registry • It is the intention of the grantors herein to convey a one-half undivided interest in the above described -bract of land.
