SUBJECT: Fayetteville Dupont SS 115kV line- Fayetteville Laydown Yard,
Cumberland County—Waters of the U.S. Survey
This memo serves to document the potential jurisdictional resources within the Fayetteville
Laydown Yard project study area. Dewberry conducted an environmental survey of the project
study area on June 6, 2023, to document any jurisdictional features that are Waters of the U.S.
(WOTUS), or any streams subject to riparian buffers rules enacted by the State of North Carolina.
No surveys for protected species, including those protected by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
are included as part of this study.
The study area is located within Cumberland County,NC. The topography in the study area is flat
with little relief Elevation in the project study area is between 170 and 175 feet above Mean Sea
Level (Figure 2). The land use in the study area is currently agricultural.
Jurisdictional Waters of the United States, including wetlands and streams are protected under
Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Within the study area, no jurisdictional wetlands and no
jurisdictional streams were identified. No streams subject to State Riparian Buffer Rules, are
located within the project study area.
