EXHIBIT"A"
All of Tract 1A consisting of 17.55 acres, as shown and described on a map duly
recorded in Plat Book 4135, Map 003, Hoke County, North Carolina Registry.
Being the same property described in Deed Book 722, Page 292, Hoke County Public
Registry.
The above-described tract or parcel of land is a portion of a combination of various
tracts or parcels conveyed to E. L. McNair by N. A. McNair et al by deed dated
February, 1910 and recorded in Book H, at Page 287, Scotland County Registry. E. L.
McNair died testate on May 8, 1942 and pursuant to the terms of his Last Will and
Testament on file in Will Book 2, at Page 344, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior
Court of Scotland County, he devised the tracts or parcels to his wife, Lula L. McNair.
Lula L. McNair died testate on May 21, 1981 and pursuant to the terms of her Last Will
and Testament, a copy of which is on file in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of
Scotland County (81-E-I 08), she devised the tracts or parcels to her two daughters,
Edna M. Williams and Lula M. Gregory.
Edna M. Williams died testate on April 9, 1985 and pursuant to the terms of her Last
Will and Testament, a copy of which is on file in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court
of Scotland County (85-E-180), she devised her undivided one-half interest in the tract
or parcel to her husband, John A. Williams./John A. Williams subsequently died testate
and pursuant to the terms of his Last Will and Testament, a copy of which is on file in
the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Scotland County (I I-E-251), he devised his
undivided one-half interest in the tract or parcel to his children Deborah W. Cutts,
Victoria C. Williams, Charles C. Williams, John Anderson Williams, Jr. and Edmund M.
Williams.
Copies of the above referenced wills are filed in the office of the Hoke County Clerk of
Court.
