ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES UTILIZED IN THIS PLAN ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE NORTH CAROLINA EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLANNING AND DESIGN MANUAL. STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS NOTED IN THESE PLANS ARE DESIGN MANUAL DESIGNATIONS. 2. CONTROL PRACTICES SHALL BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO BEGINNING MAJOR CLEARING OR GRADING. 3. CONTROL PRACTICES SHALL BE INSTALLED AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. MINOR FIELD CHANGES AND ADJUSTMENTS ARE PERMISSIBLE AS LONG AS THE INSTALLATION FUNCTIONS, AND CONFORMS TO SPECIFICATIONS, AND ARE APPROVED BY EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR. 4. LIMING, FERTILIZING, SEEDING AND MULCHING MUST BE COMPLETED AS SOON AS THE SITE HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO GRADE ON ANY PORTION OF THE SITE. 5. A STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE SHALL BE USED AT ALL POINTS OF CONSTRUCTION INGRESS AND EGRESS. 6. ANY MATERIAL DEPOSITED ON EXISTING ROADS AS A RESULT OF HAULING OPERATIONS FROM THE SITE, SHALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. USE A MECHANICAL SWEEPER. WASHING THE ROADWAY WITH WATER IS NOT PERMITTED. 7. DIRECT RUNOFF SO THAT IT DOES NOT RUN DOWN THE FACE OF CUT / FILL SLOPES. 8. MAINTAIN EXISTING DRAINAGE DURING CONSTRUCTION. 9. AN APPROVED COPY OF THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN SHALL BE AVAILABLE AT THE SITE AT ALL TIMES. 10. NO MORE THAN 500 FEET OF UTILITY TRENCH SHALL BE OPENED AT ONE TIME. 11. WHERE CONSISTENT WITH SAFETY AND SPACE CONSIDERATIONS, EXCAVATED MATERIAL IS TO BE PLACED ON THE UPHILL SIDE OF TRENCHES. 12. ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE MAINTAINED UNTIL THE SITE HAS BEEN STABILIZED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL INSPECTOR. 13. IMMEDIATELY STABILIZE ALL AREAS DISTURBED BY THE REMOVAL OF SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES. 14. NO DISTURBED AREA WILL BE DENUDED FOR MORE THAN 30 CALENDAR DAYS. 15. ALL STORM AND SEWER LINES NOT IN STREETS ARE TO BE SEEDED IMMEDIATELY AFTER BACKFILL. 16. ALL ELECTRIC POWER, WATER AND SEWER TRENCHES ARE TO BE TOPSOILED, SEEDED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING BACKFILL. 17. PROPERTIES AND ROADS ADJACENT TO THE SITE SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN OF MUD AND SILT CARRIED FROM SITE EITHER BY VEHICULAR TRAFFIC OR RUNOFF. 18. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO INSPECT AND MAINTAIN EROSION CONTROL DEVICES EVERY 7 DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER EVERY V OF RAINFALL. 19. THE APPROVED EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN MAY BE CHANGED BY THE AUTHORITY THAT APPROVED THE PLAN, AND ADDITIONAL CONTROLS REQUIRED WHERE INSPECTION HAS REVEALED THAT THE PLAN IS INADEQUATE TO SATISFY THE MINIMUM STANDARDS OF THE NORTH CAROLINA EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL REGULATIONS. 20 IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN SHALL BE SUBJECT TO CONTROL BY NORTH CAROLINA EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL REGULATIONS AND INSPECTORS. 21. NO MATERIALS ARE TO BE STORED OUTSIDE OF THE LIMITS OF CLEARING AND GRADING. 22. EARTH/SOIL BROUGHT IN OR OUT OF SITE WILL BE TAKEN OR DEPOSITED OF FROM BASE APPROVED SITE. 23. PROVISIONS FOR GROUND COVER OR EXPOSED SLOPES WILL BE PROVIDED WITHIN 21 CALENDAR DAYS FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING; PERMANENT GROUND COVER FOR ALL DISTURBED AREAS WITHIN THE SHORTER OF 15 WORKING DAYS OR 90 CALENDAR DAYS FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF DEVELOPMENT OR CONSTRUCTION.
