Subject: NPDES Stormwater Permit NCG030706- Cleveland County, North Carolina
Dear Mr. Eplin,
This letter is to notify the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Division of Energy, Mineral, and
Land Resources that Greenheck Fan Corporation at 1001 Commerce Center Drive in Shelby, North Carolina, has
completed the additional stormwater testing as identified in the January 2023 Stormwater Compliance Evaluation
Inspection- Technical Assistance Visit Greenheck Group.
The following is a summary of the samplings collected on 2/17/2023.
Roof Downspout -- zinc 0.05 mg/I
Concrete Construction Area -- zinc 1.80 mg/1
Fence at Outfall 003 -- zinc 0.064 mg/I
Based on the test results, our focus for Zinc reduction has been the Concrete construction area. The area has
been cleaned up, and contaminated topsoil was replaced to establish grass this spring.
Thank you for your visit and for assisting us with identifying the source of elevated zinc. We will continue to
monitor our stormwater results to ensure they return to below benchmark.
