SMITH GRANTOR, to LAWRENCE C. SMITH and wife, OLETA C. SMITH GRANTEE, all of said State and County, WITNESSETH, That said Grantor, for Ten Dollars and other valuable considerations hereby acknowl- edged as paid and received, has bargained and sold, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, and convey to Grantee, his heirs, successors and assigns, certain land described as follows: GRAY'S CREEK TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA BEGINNING at a stake, M. McNair's corner, and running thence with Mrs. G. L. Breece's line South 70 degrees 45 minutes West 30.19 chains; thence North 11 degrees West 17.12 chains; thence North 70 degrees East 22.70 chains; thence South 35 degrees 30 minutes East 18 chains to the point of beginning. And being the same property described in deed recorded in Book 2328, Page 463, Cumberland County Registry. Excepted from this deed is a tract of land from Lawrence C. Smith and wife, Oleta C. Smith to Lawrence C. Smith, Jr. and wife, Zarra Smith recorded in Book 2550, Page 874, Cumberland County Registry. i The purpose of this deed is to establish a tenancy by the entirety fn Lawrence C. Smith and wife, Oleta C. Smith. And Grantor covenants with Grantee that he is seized of said premises in fee and has the right to con- vey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear of all encumbrances, and that he does hereby forever war- rant and will forever defend the title to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Wherever used herein, the singular shall include the plural, the plural, the singular, and the use of any gender shall be applicable to all genders as the context may require.
