Pleasant High School site yesterday. There were several potential wetland areas (I'm sure this was all floodplain wetlands before the area was farmed) but luckily, only a couple of areas that actually need to be added to the map. These are described below, illustrated on the attached map, and flagged in the field with pink WETLAND DELINEATION flagging. Adams Creek. This is a perennial stream and has already been flagged and surveyed. Unnamed Tributary (Perennial). This stream flows south along the western property boundary to it's confluence with Adams Creek. I did not flag this in the field because of the extensive length and because the top of bank is clear and obvious. Stream A (Intermittent). This small intermittent stream is jurisdictional and located within the woodline along the western portion of the site. It only flows for about 40 feet to it's confluence with the Unnamed Tributary (above). It is fed by a series of non -jurisdictional ditches from on -site livestock pasture. Wetland AA. This wetland is located at the southern portion of the property immediately adjacent to the small field located along Adams Creek and just below the football stadium. The wetland is located between the field and against the toe of slope of a recent pile of fill (new access road?). It if fed by Stream C (Intermittent), which is a small 2-foot wide channel that comes from a pipe under the adjacent road. Wetland AA is drained by Stream B (intermittent), which empties into Adams Creek. Please pass along the attached field sketch map to your surveyor. Wetland AA is located adjacent to the practice field below the stadium. I flagged it but I strongly suggest getting the surveyor out there ASAP because the flags will likely be pulled down as the field is used and maintained. All 3 intermittent streams are small but jurisdictional. They are all very short streams, each only flowing for approximately 40-60-feet. On the flagging, I indicated the centerline width (CL) of each stream, which can be used for mapping purposes. I can be available to meet with the surveyor if necessary. Since Adams Creek was surveyed, it makes sense to me that all streams be surveyed. I think the requirements you sent me state that "wetlands" be depicted, but I'm not sure if this is also inclusive of jurisdictional streams. I can take a look at the requirements if you need me to figure out the minimum mapping requirements. Hope all this makes sense. Let me know if you have questions or need anything else.
