TX 77380 REc,74/ AUG Op 20?? OE .iooLesdNQReg oval Oryc Nexeo Solutions, LLC (Nexeo) conducted the semi-annual analytical monitoring event for Year 3, Period 2 at the Nexeo facility located at 3930 Glenwood Drive in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, on December 10, 2012 as prescribed in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit (NCS000315). Per the requirements, the storm water sample was collected from the storm water discharge outfall (SDO) 001 during a representative storm event that consisted of 0.17 inches of total rainfall, as measured by the local United States Geological Survey (USGS) rain gage (number 351502080512045 CRN-50). More than 72 hours of 0.00 inches of rainfall occurred prior to the sampling. During the sampling event, a visual inspection for qualitative monitoring was conducted as specified in Table 4 of the NPDES permit. No atypical conditions were noted during the field inspection. The inspection results are presented in Table 1. Table 1 Discharge Characteristic Inspection Result Color Clear, brown tint Odor No odor detected Clarity Clear, slight tint Floating Solids None observed Suspended Solids Slight presence observed Foam Slight presence observed NexeoSo(utions.rom I Connect. nexeo0 solutions Table I (cont.) Discharge Characteristic Inspection Result Oil Sheen None observed Erosion/Deposition at the Outfall None observed Other Obvious Indicators of Storm water Pollution None observed The sample was collected in laboratory -supplied bottles, preserved with ice, and transported with a trip blank overnight to the Test America, Inc. laboratory in Savannah, Georgia. The sample was then analyzed for total suspended solids, oil and grease, chemical oxygen demand, toluene, total xylenes, and pH. None of the results exceeded its corresponding benchmark value. The results of the storm water sample analyses along with their corresponding benchmark values as listed in the permit are presented below in Table 2, and the laboratory results are included as Enclosure 1. In addition all laboratory quality control samples were within established control limits, with any exceptions noted below. Each sample was analyzed to achieve the lowest possible reporting limit within the constraints of the method. In some cases, due to interference or analytes present at high concentrations, samples were diluted. For diluted samples, the reporting limits are adjusted relative to the dilution required. Calculations are performed before rounding to avoid round -off errors in calculated results All holding times were met and proper preservation noted for the methods performed on these samples, unless otherwise detailed in the individual sections below.
