Proposed project is a gravel outdoor storage lot located off Haywood Rd in Union County, NC. The site is in the Yadkin
Pee -Dee River Basin and drains to South Fork Crooked Creek. The site is in Union County Zoning District. Stormwater
and Erosion Control is regulated by NCDEQ.
The scope of work includes clearing, grubbing, and grading. Scope also includes the installation of temporary riser
skimmer basin, silt fence, coir mesh wattle check dams, and stone base.
The disturbed acreage is 2.9 acres.
Based on USDA Web Soil Survey data the area soils primarily classify as TbB2, a Tarrus gravelly silty clay loam, indicative
of a hydraulic group B.
There are no jurisdictional features on the site as verified by Thompson Environmental
A Sand Filter SCM is proposed to provide the required water quality treatment and water quantity runoff controls as
required by NCDEQ & Union County. The SCM Sand Filter is designed in accordance with NCDEQ Minimum Design
Criteria requirements. The SHWT was evaluated by Thompson Environmental.
The development is proposed as "high density". The SCM is designed to treat a 2.72 ac drainage basin with a built upon
area of 1.99 acres.
