RTI Transportation Motor Pool
Fort Bragg, NC
The proposed RTI Transportation Motor Pool at Fort Bragg consists of an 35,700 square
foot parking area. The 0.8-acre site is located on the northern side of Pratt Street,
approximately 1100 feet east of the intersection of Pratt Street and Lewis Street, in Fort
Bragg military base. The site is currently lightly wooded with gentle grades. Soils are
sandy and very permeable. Stormwater runoff flows to "Tank Creek to the east of the site.
The proposed stormwater system will incorporate a grassed drainage swale as pre-
treatment to the proposed dry detention basin. The proposed disturbed area is 1.33 acres
and is roughly 100% impervious. The majority of the stormwater from the disturbed area
will be collected into the grassed swale and discharge to the dry detention basin.
Overflow runoff from the dry pond will be discharged into a grassed swale which
daylights at an existing natural swale.
