We received your application for an NPDES discharge permit on January 6, 2021.On February 1,
2022, Thad Valentine with the Raleigh Regional Office conducted a site visit to determine whether
the facility was compliant with coverage under Stormwater General Permit NCG060000.
It was concluded that this site is already covered under COC# NCG060286. An application for
coverage under NCG060000 was mistakenly submitted to add more outfalls. This site will remain
covered under NCG060286.
With this letter, your application is being returned to you. Please be advised that if the State
determines that discharges from this site contribute to a water quality standard violation or are a
significant contributor of pollutants to waters of the U.S., the Department of Environmental Quality
(DEQ) is authorized to require a discharge permit.
The return of this application does not affect the legal requirements to obtain other permits which
may be required by the Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources, or permits required by the
Division of Water Resources, Coastal Area Management Act, or any other federal or local
government permit or approval that may be required.
