(Quarterly) Check the level sediment accumulating in the inlet points. Remove sand, grit, debris, trash by hand shovel at the mouth of the flared end sections of pipe. 2. (Quarterly) Remove any debris, trash and collected sediment in the outlet low -flow outlet control pipe. Follow up at the opposite end of outfall pipe to ensure that sediment does not accumulate in this area. Remove as needed. 3. (Monthly) This is an infiltration device. Due to the presence of deep sandy soils, water should never be standing in this device 24 hours after a rainfall. A Civil Engineer should be contacted to assist in remedying this problem. 4. (Quarterly) All vegetation within the device and on all slopes should be maintained at 8 inches in height or less. All woody vegetation should be removed from the pond dam and over pipes. 31 SECU - Wilmington, Myrtle Grove June 29, 2016 Casmer, io From: William S. The area was observed to have a large energy dissipater pad that appears to be keeping the area from eroding. The landscape staff may want to spray a non -selective herbicide such as glyphosate or Round -up to keep the weeds suppressed in the rock spillway. (Quarterly) Check the level of sediment accumulating in the inlet areas as this is where these systems are likely to fail. Removed foreign debris and/or plant material by hand shovel at the mouth of the flared end section pipe. 2. (Quarterly) Remove any debris, trash and collected sediment in the outlet pipe that blocks or slows down the flow of water prior to the rip rap stone that serves as the energy dissipater pad. 3. (Annually) Replant any thinned out areas on the side slopes with native grass to prevent erosion. The grass should be the same as the surrounding area. 4. (Semi -Annually) Repair any eroded area as needed. Remove any trash that accumulates on top of the riser trash rack.
