Jeremy,
One important follow up on this. We noticed that the document you emailed was electronically signed. Because this is a
rescission request, the permittee must sent in an original signed copy to our office (not with digital signature). This is a
compliance requirement of EPA federal regulations in 40 CFR 122.22.
Thank you,
The DEMLR Stormwater Program

Good morning, Jeremy,
Thanks for reaching out. We can take care of this rescission request! I will get it to our new Program Administrative

Jeremy,
If you believe that your facility does not require a permit based on the SIC code, please submit a formal request to the
Central Office (to my attention) to rescind the permit. I spoke with a coworker and they stated that No Exposure only
applies if you are otherwise subject to a regulated category.
Once a formal rescission request is received, the central office will reach out to the regional office to perform an
inspection and determine if a rescission is appropriate. If the regional office concurs that the SIC better represents the
current activities with no other major housekeeping or pollutant issues, then the central office may process the permit
rescission request.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Suzanne,
I have a question for you pertaining to our active stormwater permit. Our original permit application was
submitted using SIC code 2813 which required the permit but since then we have found that the correct SIC
code for our current operation is 5169 which does not require a stormwater permit. How should we proceed to
discontinue our stormwater permit? Looking online I see the no exposure certification for exclusion application
but it does not seem like that fits our circumstances.
Thank you
