The two RCP inlet pipes were observed in good condition. The rip rap dissipater pads were functioning properly and also in good condition. No additional maintenance required in this area. The pond dam in the background was observed in good condition with no signs of weakness observed during the inspection. The photo above shows the forebay berm constructed with rip rap stone. The berm was observed in good condition with no significant stone displacement. The diverter located in the main body of the pond appeared to be in good condition at the time of inspection. The structure was observed in good condition and functioning as designed. The areas located outside of the structure were adequately stabilized with grass and rip rap stone. (Monthly) Check the level sediment accumulating in the inlet concrete pipes and associated rip -rap aprons. Remove sand grit, debris, trash and plant material by hand shovel and blower. 2. (Quarterly) Remove trash and debris from the wet pond inlet rip -rap apron and pond forebay area. 3. (Quarterly) Remove any sediment and debris collected in front of and behind the orifice at the wet pond weir. 4. (Annually, during the spring and fall for the next three seasons) Plant a contractor's blend seed mix on the wet pond top of berm and side slopes. The area shown was previously lacking adequate stabilization and has since been seeded and overlain with a biodegradable mat that initially provides slope stabilization. The photo above shows the rip rap stone forebay berm to be in good condition. The photo also shows the diversion structure in the background. The diverter was observed to be in good structural condition with no additional maintenance required at the time of inspection. The control strum re was found to be in good condition with no obstructions in front of the control structure. This will allow stormwater to Flow thru and over the area shown while functioning properly during heavy rainfall events. No additional maintenance required at this time. There is minor vegetation growth in the area and should be monitored to ensure excessive growth does no obstruct the outlet PVC orifice. Due to the end of growing season fast approaching this should not bean issue until nextgrowing season. Some weed growth is beginning to emerge from between the rocks. We recommend killing the weeds twice a year with weed killer before they become a problem. • The photo shows that many grass areas surrounding the pond have thinned out and are dying. To prevent future soil erosion on the pond perimeter berms, it is recommended that these areas be over -seeded for the next few years with a warm season seed like Bermuda grass.
