DUCK THRU STORMWATER NARRATIVE
The proposed development site is located at the intersection of NC Hwy 581 and US
Hwy 64 in Spring Hope, NC. The development is in the Tar -Pam river basin. The
proposed project consists of the construction of a Convenience Store with Truck Parking
on 4.87 Acres.
The proposed development will consist of the construction of a 4,200 Square Foot
building, with associated parking spaces, and infrastructure the site requires. The total
impervious area for the site is 3.64 Acres or 75% impervious.
Most of the site drains to the proposed wet detention pond which discharges into the
NCDOT Right of Way along US 64. NCDOT has requested a concrete channel be
installed below the outlet and down to the roadside ditch as shown on the plans.
Approximately 0.25 Acres of this site drains offsite to the SCM permitted in
SW5200701. The SCM from SW5200701 will treat 0.05 Acres of impervious area from
the Duck Thru Site. Calculations proving the SCM from SW5200701 can adequately
treat the impervious area have been provided. A permit modification for SW5200701 has
been submitted.
