I drafted the stormwater permi`(SWZfor the Ready Mix Plant located at Alliance; it is dated for Monday 4/30. 1 have a couple of issues that need to be addressed. (1) Vegetation Plan needs to be modified: you can provide a plan similar to the New Building Supply project (see Joe) that issued in late February, this year; or you can put together a new plan, with details shown, that incorporates all the current knowledge/information found in the DWQ - Draft BMP document on our website. I expect that we will require more fonnal/written/detailed vegetation plans in the very near future. Hopefully, DWQ will provide some written guidance, in addition to the info in the BMP manual. (2) Truck Wash Down Area: Explain how truck wash down area will be used; will wash water receive some treatment before being routed to the wet pond; should the truck wash down area be located further away from the pond inlet (maximize the flow length through grass swales). I hope the owners plan to have a separate pit, or wash down area, to handle the bulk of the waste concrete residue. Significant amounts of wastewater discharged into the stormwater pond could cause serious problems. Please address. If you have some questions, call me at 948-3919; I will be in Thursday.
