NCS000134 RE: [External] Avoca LLC Stormwater Permit Info
Good afternoon Brian.
Regarding the expired status of your Individual Industrial Stormwater Permit, we are behind schedule in the renewal
review process. An updated schedule may be found at the following location on our website: deq.nc.gov/SW-industrial.
You have permission to continue discharging stormwater per the requirements of your expired Industrial
Stormwater Permit if you have met the following requirements per Part II, Section 131 of your permit:
• You have submitted a renewal application at least 180 days prior to your permit's expiration date
• You are current on your annual permit fees, and
• You have submitted Data Monitoring Reports (DMRs) per the requirements of your permit.
I have updated your email address. This will appear on reports the following day.
If you have any further questions about your status, you may contact Aana Gamble aana.gamble@ncdenr.gov

Based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Environmental Quality has adjusted operations to protect the health and
safety of the staff and public. Many employees are working remotely or are on staggered shifts. To accommodate these staffing changes, all DEQ office locations are
limiting public access to appointments only. Please check with the appropriate staff before visiting our offices, as we may be able to handle your requests by phone or
email. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve the public during this challenging time.

Ms. McCoy,
I received the letter from NCDEQ dated November 4, 2020 concerning switching to the eDMR system for reporting.
Upon following the 6 step process to get set up in the eDMR system, I noticed that my email was listed wrong. My email
is:
brian.conner@ashland.com
Also, I noticed that it says our permit No. NCS000134 is "expired". We submitted the information and application for
permit renewal dated 11/4/2019. 1 have not yet received the updated/new permit.
Please advise what/if there is anything else that I need to do on this.
Thanks,
Brian Conner
