No exceptions in this case. We will have to do soils work and design and submit for modification, and still only get 75% credit? It this right? They might need to just replace it with wooden walkway again so they don't have to go through all of that. I guess they could put in a composite or vinyl walkway, as long as it is slotted, and it would be the same as wooden walkway. This would not even require a submittal, right? Let me know. I'll let you know what I hear or she may contact you directly. As far as vinyl or wood, it doesn't matter as long as it's slatted it would be considered pervious. No submittal required because it would be considered maintenance. It's just been so busy here I haven't had time to get back with you. It sounds like the best way forward would be for them to submit an application to modify the permit to include permeable pavement. Then they can get credit, up to 75% off, if they have decent soils. This would minimize additional BUA and hopefully keep them under their 25% limit. However, it doesn't appear that they have any future BUA available according to the permit so they would need to have a survey done to check the actual BUA of the buildings, roads, patios, and driveways, etc. in order to make a proper evaluation. They could free up some BUA by converting their driveways to permeable pavement too. Please call if you have any questions. They are having maintenance issues with their uncovered wooden walkways rotting. They would like to replace one of them with previous concrete walk. because they will last longer than a wooden walkway. Is pervious concrete walk an acceptable alternative to wooden walk, or do I have to submit for a plan revision? Would you get with Georgette, Linda, or Annette Lucas and let me know what to tell them? Let me know the easiest way to handle this. Thanks, Timothy M. Stewart, P.E. / krp Parker & Associates, Inc.
