Based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Environmental Quality has
adjusted operations to protect the health and safety of the staff and public. Many employees are working remotely or
are on staggered shifts. To accommodate these staffing changes, all DEQ office locations are limiting public access to
appointments only. Please check with the appropriate staff before visiting our offices, as we may be able to handle your
requests by phone or email. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve the public during this challenging
time.

Hello,
I agree. I don't see any activity either and BIMs notes that as being withdrawn. The name likely changed and the
operation was permitted as NCG030333 which shows as active. However the site is vacant and the fee has been overdue
since Jan. 2019. 1 had visited them back in 2014, but expect that they determined that they could not comply with the
permit requirements and moved on.
I recommend for the rescissions of NCG200444 and NCG030333 if that helps.
I hope that helps.
Sincerely,
Thom

Thomas Edgerton:
I came across an application for NCG200444 for Goldman Metals, INC at 2912 Neuse Blvd in New Bern. This permit is
showing as "under review' but was initially received in April of 2006. A google search showed that the facility is now
closed, and I have not been able to make contact with the owner. Do you have any additional information about this site
or the application? I would very much like to clear this one from the books. Thank you so much!
Very Respectfully,
Mike
