THE DETERMINATION OF WHICH DETAIL IS APPLICABLE AS THE WORK PROGRESSES SHALL BE AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR MADE BY THE ENGINEER. AT THAT TIME, THE EROSION CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF SO AS TO CAUSE NO STREAM SILTATION. WHERE CULVERT PIPES ARE TO BE INSTALLED UNDER ROADWAYS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL THE CULVERTS AS RAPIDLY AS IS PRACTICAL, BACK FILL IMMEDIATELY AND RIP RAP THE UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM SIDES OF THE STREAM CHANNEL. SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION 1. Verify that the owner has an erosion control permit. Obtain a copy prior to beginning work and post a copy on site. 2. Schedule a pre -construction meeting with owner, contractor and all affected utility companies. 3- Stake limits of construction/disturbance. 4. Install stabilized temporary construction entrance. 5. install sediment traps #1 & #2 as well as temporary diversion ditches that flow into traps #1 & #2. 6. Install temporary earth berm, temporary silt fence, temporary stone outlets, rock screens, & temporary rock check dams as shown on plans. 7. Grade channels #1 & #2 to the temp diversion berms and install channel liner in both channels. 8. install remainder of erosion control devices. 9. Begin major grading operation. Contractor to ensure infiltration areas do not receive any compaction at any time throughout construction. 10. Maintain & clean all erosion control devices throughout duration of project. 11. Slopes left exposed and all other areas disturbed during this project should have ground cover sufficient to restrain erosion within 21 calendar days following completion of any phase of grading, and within 15 working days or 90 calendar days, whichever period is shorter, following completion of construction. Provisions for permanent ground cover sufficient to restrain erosion must be accompanied for all disturbed areas within 15 working days or 90 calendar days, whichever is shorter, following completion of construction. 12. Install stone on drive/parking area as soon as design grade is obtained. 13. After entire site is stabilized including paving, contractor to install Gravel Infiltration Trenches. Contractor to ensure no sediment enters trenches at any time. Contractor to ensure Infiltration areas receive no compaction at any tim. Contact engineer prior to installing stone for inspection.
