Users can add the event to make permit inactive and then remove the event. I don't know of any other way a permit would have gone inactive. The only other way for it to occur would be to request IT to change it manually and I don't have a record of that occurring. Regarding Question 2, it can be handled either way but it would not seem that a valid transfer of the permit occurred so issuance of a new permit to the new owner would seem the best option. But, it would be a permitting decision up how to handle it. Thomas F. Question #1— we can't figure out how this permit went inactive. It happened sometime in 2009, but where's the event in BIMS that records that? Did Fran have another way of doing this? Additional Info: I suspect the subsequent Name/Owner Change that happened in 2014 was for a permit in inactive status, and the fact that the new owner didn't actually have an active permit was not flagged or resolved at the time. Question #2 — the entity operating this site now essentially has no permit. Is the best thing to do to have them apply for a new one, or try to re -activate this one? Thanks!
